About Chronically Advocating

Independent patient advocacy rooted in lived experience.

Victoria understands firsthand how overwhelming it is to live with chronic illness, face repeated misdiagnoses, or advocate for a loved one in a broken system. What began as a fight for her own survival, through complex diagnoses, medical gaslighting, and endless insurance appeals, became a professional calling to help others do the same.

As someone living with multiple chronic and rare conditions, Victoria knows the fear, the fatigue, and the frustration that can come with every doctor visit, denial letter, or discharge plan. That’s why she founded Chronically Advocating, to ensure no one else has to navigate these challenges alone.

Today, she supports clients across the U.S. who are tired of being dismissed, denied, or left behind. Whether she’s helping a caregiver manage a hospital discharge, a working professional interpret their insurance benefits, or a patient with a rare disease coordinate care across specialists, Victoria brings calmness and compassion to the chaos.

Beyond her private advocacy practice, Victoria serves on the Advocacy Committee for the Spondylitis Association of America, the California Advocacy Team at the U.S. Pain Foundation, and the California State Advocacy Committee for the Arthritis Foundation. She is also a board member of G-PACT, co-leads the Gastroparesis Support Group. She serves as a Merit Reviewer with PCORI and is a member of the NIH HEAL T90/R90 Lived Experience Advisory Group, where she helps elevate patient perspectives in research.

Victoria has also been featured in media interviews, podcasts, and professional panels focused on patient advocacy, healthcare access, and navigating complex care systems. View Media & Speaking.

With over 20 years of lived experience, a background in health insurance navigation, and certification as a Board Certified Patient Advocate (BCPA), Victoria combines professional strategy with the kind of deep compassion that only comes from someone who’s truly been there.
